Placing an order
We have selection of cakes ready to be customised and bought online. Please allow at least one week for making and delivering most celebration cakes. For wedding and more elaborate multi-tier cakes, please give us at least 1 month when ordering online.
Online orders can be paid via PayPal using all credit cards (you don’t need to have PayPal account to use the service), bank transfer or cash on delivery.
Your order will be processed and email notification of your order sent to you within an hour after order has been completed.
All deliveries are carried out between 8.00am and 6.00pm on the date specified on the order. If you would like a later delivery, please inform us after ordering, we will accommodate the most convenient time for you.
Deposit
Celebration Cakes – a none refundable deposits (amount agreed in advance) should be paid at the time of ordering customised cakes not listed on www.tortecakeart.co.uk website. Full payment is due 24 hours before the delivery date, unless agreed to be paid in cash on delivery.
Wedding Cakes – full payment is due one calendar month before the wedding date. Payments can be via cash or bank transfer. If paying by bank transfer please contact the company for bank account details. It should be noted that cakes are not started until full payment has been received. Cakes not paid for 14 days before the wedding may result in the contract being terminated and the loss of your deposit. All deposits are non refundable.
Delivery
We deliver nationwide. Please contact us for special rate for delivery over 50 miles from Brentwood, Essex.
Refunds and Cancellation of an Order
We can only guarantee a full refund of your order if we receive your order cancellation instructions at least one week before the collection/delivery time.
What happens if there is a problem with the goods?
In the unlikely event of there being a problem with any of the cakes we have supplied to you, you may return them to us for a full refund or a replacement within a reasonable period after the date of delivery. Please contact us to discuss the matter prior to returning the cakes. If the cakes have been altered by you or the fault has arisen through something we would not consider to be reasonable then we reserve the right to decline a refund.
Generally, after the cake has been collected from our locations, you are responsible for any damage or accident while transporting the cake in your own means of transport. Cakes must be placed on a level surface (booth of the car or passenger side floor, but never on the seats), free from loose objects, and driven carefully, maximum 50 mph, taking great care on turnings and roundabouts.
What happens to my customer details?
We will not pass on your details to any third parties. However, we would like to send you notification from time to time of our new products and would welcome your agreement to remain on our mailing list. Please inform us if you do not wish your details to remain on our mailing list.
